Movable Type, here I come!
Alright, so I bit the bullet this morning and ordered one year of web hosting for $49.99. Considering I found two twenties in an ATM machine in Penn Station last night, it kind of paid for itself. So, once I figure out the instructions, I will be moving my blog over to Movable Type and to my domain name of matthewoster.com. I hope there is some way to transfer all my entries from here over to the new one. I hope so, its kind of interesting to look back on some of them and see where my minds been at over the past couple of months. I figure if I can't figure out how to install, I can pay movable type 40 bucks and they can do it for me, and maybe they know how to transfer entries from blogger into their system.
So I was the most unlucky bastard in the world on Wednesday. To start off with, my car got a flat tire while I was following my boss to a client in Queens. The tire was totally shredded, and after throwing the donut on and getting to the client I set out to get it fixed. I had to buy a used tire for 30 bucks, and I was on my merry way. Then I headed into the city, partied and had a good time with Elena and a long lost friend from Binghamton. Then, as we were getting ready to head back to Queens to get my car from Seth's apartment, the subway we were going to take, didn't come for like 20 minutes. It was then that we realized that the line we waiting for didn't run on the weekends. Lucky us. So we decided to take a cab. The cab ride was pretty quick until about a mile form Seth's, the cab got a flat tire. What luck, huh? Twice in one day. Needless to say we had to walk the rest of the way, which wasn't bad, and then we could finally go home.
That was the end of the parking the car at Seth's. We went back to being slaved to the LIRR schedule last night when we went in to celebrate Elena's friend's birthday. At least that way we know when the trains are coming and going, instead of the subways which just seem to show up whenever they damn well please.
Other than that, nothing new to report. Look for big and uninteresting things at matthewoster.com. Once the DNS entries get sorted out there should be a simple page of text saying the site is under construction up. I'll learn Dreamweaver the hard way.
Thats all for now. I hate Saturday nights because Elena works. Sucks for me. Adios.
