Rejected!
So the job interview thing didn't exactly work out the way I wanted it to. Got a message from the staffing company on Wednesday, but I was out all day working and then in the city at night. I called back first thing Thursday and they said they had bad news. Three strong candidates and they just had to make a decision on one. Oh well. In the end, I think its for the best right now. I plan on taking as much Microsoft crap as I can and then start looking for full time stuff once the summer is over (read, when Elena leaves for London).
I like the fact that I work part time and get to see her a lot. If I worked full time I'd barely see her, and I figure I don't need the money that badly. I mean, I need money, who doesn't, but I'll live on what I make, have since February. I really love the girl and want to spend as much time with her as I possible can before she goes off to London for a year or so.
Of course I'll go visit. She said she's probably not coming home for Christmas, because thats the only time her and her friend/roommate will have to travel and see Europe, so she said thats when I should come to visit. And Christmas is right around my birthday and Channukah, so there's my present for all, rolled into one. Can't beat that, and thats the expensive part. Once you're there its dirt cheap to live and travel. You can take a train to Prague for like 40 American dollars. Pretty sweet.
We'll see what happens. I like the fact that she wants me to come see her. I knew she would, but me, like the idiot I am have always had the fear in the back of my mind that she'd break up with me before she leaves. Guess not, at least so far.
Anyway, going into the city tonight with Elena for her friend's birthday. We were just in there Wednesday night and Monday too, for my interview. Went in Wednesday for a friend of mine from Binghamton's birthday. Went to see this thing called De La Guarda, which I can't even describe, except to say that it was insane and fucking cool at the same time.
