Lake George
Damn its been awhile since I wrote in this thing. So what's been happening with me? Not much really, things are going great and have an even better chance of getting much, much better.
First things first, had a great weekend away with Elena and my family. The weather wasn't the nicest and I was sick the first day/night we were up there, but other than that it was a fun time. Spent five days/four nights with Elena and we didn't get sick of each other once. Thats a good sign. In the meantime, spent some quality time with family that I don't get to see too often and my Grandma, who the whole trip was organized for, really appreciated that everyone got together. It was a good time. The resort we stayed at, the Sagamore, was nice as hell, very swank, if thats the right word for it. We had a nice dinner Saturday night that was a little too high class for me, jacket required, tie optional, 30 bucks for a plate of food with very little food on it. I don't get that. Wee had dinner at this Italian place the next night and for 13 bucks you got a whole plate of chicken parm and pasta. Good shit.
Second, had a pretty good week of doing really nothing. Although I did have a bad case of the craps on Tuesday, but its all good now. Today I'll be heading out with Elena to catch a double feature. Well, not a real double feature, we're just going to try to catch two movies today, Bruce Almighty & Finding Nemo. Should be good flicks all around. They've only made like over 200 million combined so far, or something, so it can't be all bad.
Third, have a job interview setup for Monday in the city. I'm actually going back to a place that I interviewed at back in November and I definitely thought I would've had it, but they went with someone with a little less experience that they could pay less, so now it looks like they're regretting that decision. They're now looking for someone a little more mature and expereienced to get things in order. They really liked me back in November and I think that I'm mature enough, so hopefully I'll get hooked up with a job that has a very good chance of becoming permanent.
I'm actually glad I didn't get the job back in November. If I had my bitch of an ex-girlfriend might still be around making my life miserable. I think the unemployment had a big effect on getting her to leave me, which I have no problem with. I'm so happy now its not even funny and I can't imagine what life would be like any other way. Elena is the most amazing girl I've ever met, and I'm so happy that she's in my life at the moment, even if she is going to London at the end of the summer. Its all good though, because I think we can make it work, even though we haven't really spoken about it yet, but I'm sure we will and it will all be OK.
So enough for now. Watching Old School on DVD. Funny as hell flick. Peace out.
