Great news!

I got a call from Elena's mom this morning on my cell phone at about 6:45 in the morning, while I was getting ready for work. She said she just got off the phone with Elena and that I should give her a call. Turns out, to my surprise, that she's coming home to visit for two weeks! I was shocked and ecstatic. Definitely made my day, you have no idea.

Turns out when she first booked her airfare for London when she moved in August she had a return ticket for the end of April, because that's when she thought school was over. Turns out school doesn't officially end until sometime at the end of August or the beginning of September. She tried to change her reservation or get a refund, but to no avail, so she has to use it. So she'll be coming home on April 29th, a little under two weeks away, and she goes back to London on May 13th, so its exactly two weeks. Hey, I'll take it.

Elena wanted me to see if I could find a cheap flight for her roommate as well, but I had no luck in that department. Its getting closer to summer and booking an international flight with two weeks notice doesn't help in getting a cheap flight. It would've been cool if her roommate could come too, but oh well. What you going to do? I'm still psyched to no end though, and thats all that counts!

I'm still a little jet lagged. I tried to watch Kill Bill Vol. 1 last night, but passed out about 20 minutes in. Tried to watch it again when the dog woke me up at 4:30 in the morning, but I passed out again. Hopefully I'll be able to get through it tomorrow during the day as I have nothing else to do. Concert tonight in NYC and I hope that I can stay awake for it. Its all mellow acoustic guitar stuff, so between that and that jet lag its not very conducive to staying conscious. Oh well. At least its Friday.

I just hope that I'm not so tired that I fall asleep on the train ride out of NYC and miss my stop. That happened to me when I saw Pearl Jam last summer. I woke up just as the train was pulling out of my station. I had to get off at the next stop and take a cab to where my car was parked. How bad is that?
