The Village
Just got back from seeing The Village and I must say, it was pretty damn interesting. Good movie and well worth the $6.25 admission and I must say, better than Signs. The ending to that movie was just too damn dumb. I mean, come on, aliens invade the Earth, which is 70% water, and their one weakness is water, thats just dumb. But The Village was good and after thinking about it very appropriate for this day and age, what with the news trying to keep us in line by scaring the shit out of us every night of the week. So, in my expert opinion, go see it. Its good. I don't want to spoil it or anything, because thats almost all the fun of seeing M. Night's movies, the surprise ending. My jaw dropped at the end of The Sixth Sense, and I loved Unbreakable. Signs, like I said, was OK, but the water thing still gets me. The Village, good stuff.
In other news my parents are back and the house was in suitable condition so that my mom didn't flip out too much. All the laundry was done, just not sorted, or folded or ironed or anything, but at least it was done and there was nothing for her to do when she got home except my parents laundry from their trip. I've been chilling out all weekend watching Dead Like Me on DVD. Pretty decent show. Next up will be Nip/Tuck and then some Simpsons. Lets just say I went on a little spending spree at Best Buy, but hey, I work hard. I deserve it.
Alright, I'm going to stop babbling now. Too bad its Sunday and the weekend is almost over. I'll enjoy it while it lasts. Adios.
