Woo hoo! It's September!

And you know what that means? It means this crappy summer is almost over and on September 21, which I think is either the first day of fall, or the day before, Elena comes home for good. So, September is a good month, and I've been looking forward to it for some time. I leave for London in like 8 days and it can't get here soon enough. I just hope Elena is done with her paper by then. I know she's trying to, but it would suck, for both of us if she had to work on it while I'm there. If so, no big deal, since she'll be home for good a week after I leave London anyway. I know for a fact that she's supposed to be home all day working on it, so maybe I'll check in a little later to see how she's doing, although she did tell me to stop asking about her paper because it stresses her out more, so I'll just have to carefully choose my words.

Other than that there isn't much going on. I'm looking forward to this weekend, mostly because its a three day weekend, not because I have any huge plans. Then, instead of a 4 day work week, its only three for me because I'm taking next Friday off because I'll be away. Then, when I get back, on a Tuesday, its another three day work week, which should be nice as well considering I'll be jetlagged to all hell.

Been busy at work with a new project. I'm upgrading the companies e-mail system to the most recent version that good old Microsoft offers. But in order to do that first I need to move everyone onto a new system for internal instant messaging, which has been interesting. I've got it down so that its pretty automated so the users won't see anything happening and hopefully won't annoy us IT people with questions. Once everyone is on the new IM system, I can rip out the old one and upgrade the e-mail system. Fun stuff! I know, I'm a geek, but technology is the type of thing that gets me going. I can't help it.

Alright, back to work. Hope everyone has a good Wednesday! Just remember, it'll be Friday before you know it!
