I'm getting a new car!!!
Woo hoo! I posted all about this on Saturday at some point but it seems to have mysteriously vanished, oh well, I'll rehash it out here, again. So I went down to the car dealership with my dad after work on Friday and signed a deal for a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta GLI, in black, with a spoiler! Its really nice, small, but nice. I fit in it and it was comfortable to drive, so I'm happy. The only thing holding me up from actually getting it is that I have no car to produce for a trade in, as its still at the transmission place. I need to call the guy and tell him to step on it when it comes to fixing it. I want to get my new car by the weekend, and can't if I have no old car.
So we made the deal on Friday and I put $100 down so they'll hold the car for me, and I took it for a spin on Saturday and I'm happy with my purchase. I decided to lease instead of buy as its cheaper, so I have a three and a half year lease, with 25,000 miles a year, which is plenty. The best part, its about $30 cheaper a month than what I'm paying now. I like saving money.
Saturday night my parents had a little holiday get together with about 25 people, some their friends, some mine and it was a good time. Drank way too much wine and was definitely paying for it Sunday, but its not like I had anything to do, so it was OK. Now its Monday, back at work for one more week of hell before the new guy starts and my job can get easier. Can't wait. Hope everyone has a good Monday.
