Random Bits of Information

There is no coherence going on here at the moment, so this post will just be some random bits of info about whats going on at the moment. Come to think of it, aren't most posts like that anyway? I think so.

The new place is good. Although out of the three mornings I've had to go to work while living there, only one I've gotten in the shower when I'm supposed to. I think that'll change as I explained to my roommate who was in there when I woke up that I woke up at 7 and needed to get in there. Honestly, the system is supposed to be one girl gets it at 6:15 - 6:30, the next from 6:30 to 6:45 and the third from 6:45 to 7:00, and then me from 7 on since I'm the last to leave, and sadly, require the most time in the bathroom. Lets see how things go tomorrow. Since I've been living there I've been 15 minutes late to work twice, and 15 minutes early once. So it almost evens out.

OK, first instance of where living with 3 women is going to be oh so much fun. Last night it was just me and my one roommate for a little bit and she asks me to help her hang the mini-blinds she bought for the bathroom, which translated into me hanging the miniblinds in the bathroom. I drew the line at doing the ones for the kitchen and living room though. One set was enough, and it was honestly in the most important place. The bathroom window was right above the toilet, and since I'm the only one who stood to use it, it left me feeling a little exposed, to say the least. Second instance was later in the evening we were all sitting in the living room watching some stupid reality show and one girl asks if anyone's been to a dermatologist regularly. I said I've gone on occasion as needed, but never on a regular basis. Someone asked why and she said she's had really bad acne since going off the pill. I said, "Do I need to get up and leave right now?" Weird. Third instance, there was a copy of the pocket Kama Sutra on the kitchen table and I asked whose it was. Someone said it was Shari's, Seth's girlfriend. Ewww. Too much information there.

Enough about that. In other news, Coldplay kicked some makor ass. Next to U2, it was the best concert I've been to all summer. And thats saying a lot. They played for well over an hour and a half and they just sounded awesome. Great setlist, although there was a song or two I wished I could've heard. But I'm not complaining. I've been meaning to see them live for years, and I'm glad I got the chance to. The opening was the best, with "Square One" the first song off their new one, X & Y. In the background on the video monitors was this huge digital clock display, that was counting down to the part where the song really rocks, and when it hit zero I was in heaven. My favorite part of one of my favorite songs on the album, and it was the first song played.

So I'm really looking forward to the weekend, just because everything has been so crazy for the past few days. I haven't really had the time to practice, which pisses me off a little. Thankfully I won't have a lesson next week, so maybe this week we can just song out, and I'll practice the exercises I have for another two weeks, as I think they'll be really helpful.

And lastly, I'm not going to say too much about this, because I don't want to jinx it or get my hopes up prematurely. Wish me luck, I have a date tomorrow night!

That's all. I'm out!
