Friday Full Of Promise

I'm still not going to talk too much about it for fear of jinxing anything or getting my hopes way too up, only to be disappointed, but I'm psyched for my date tonight. Scared and nervous too, but that'll pass after some alcohol is consumed with dinner. Thankfully the date is in the city and the train station is about a half mile from my new place, so no driving, only walking is involved. I'll try give a full recap as soon as possible afterwards. But wish me luck anyway.

The living situation is still good. Although I got another dose of women talking about birth control and other femal bodily functions last night. I guess if I get anything out of this experience, it'll be way too much information than I ever wanted to know about the opposite sex. Thankfully the conversation only lasted about the length of one commercial break during a TV show I was watching with one of my roommates.

Later in the evening, for the purposes of demonstration only, I hung one and only one set of blinds in the living room, just to show everyone else how its supposed to bu done. Now I'm done hanging those things. As Shari said to me, we (meaning she and I) have already done enough for the house and really shouldn't be doing much more. My other roommate, the one who asked me to help hang the blinds in the bathroom and then proceeded to walk away, is just clueless about this stuff, or just lazy, I don't know. I asked her to help me move the couch out of the way so I wouldn't have to stand on it to screw in the mounting brackets and either she didn't hear me, or chose to ignore me, because she just stood there while I moved the couch, and then sat on it while I strained to get the blinds hung. Nice, huh?

I guess for the sake of clarity, I should give my roommates names, since I'll probably be referring to them so much. First names only of course. I've already spoken at length about Shari, who is Seth's (one of my two best friends) girlfriend. Her and I get along fine and we honestly have done plenty for the house already. Next up is Karen, who works at the same school as Shari, but she's a guidance counselor whereas Shari is the school psychologist. Lastly we have Ali, short for Alison, who is friends with Karen. Ali also works as a guidance counselor for a public school, but in a different district. They're all lucky in that they work so much more closer to the house than I do, because even though the distance of my commute has been cut in half, it still takes awhile, as traffic sucks.

Alright, enough complaining. I'm going to concentrate on getting ready, mentally and physically for my date. Wish me luck again! Adios!
