Just Watch The Fireworks
There is no reason for the title. Its just the name of the Jimmy Eat World song that I'm currently listening to. I'm feeling unimaginative today, so I went with that instead of trying to pick a song that fits with the topics at hand. Plus I'm really tired, so there's that.
So I had a really good Memorial Day weekend. It kind of makes up for the last two, which kind of sucked. I went to a customer on Friday, but was only there until about 12:30, so I went to Missy's parents house to keep her company while she rested. She was feeling better on Friday and was able to take some of the gauze she had been wearing off. She was also able to switch from the Vicodin to regular old Tylenol for the pain. So I spent the afternoon with her, had some lunch, watched some DVD's and kept her company until about 5 PM. By then I headed home to get my laundry and head to my parents house. They got back from Italy last Tuesday and I hadn't seen them since a few days before they left, and they were gone for two weeks. Plus, I had laundry to do!
Saturday I headed back to my place with my air conditioner, as its about that time of the year that requires it. I relaxed at home for a bit before I headed back to Missy's parents. I think she getting a bit of cabin fever since she hadn't left the house since she got back from the hospital on Wednesday. I convinced her to let me take her out to dinner and the movies. Even though she was still wearing the splint on her nose and she was really self conscious about it, she agreed to go. So we had a nice meal and went to see Shrek the Third, which was cute and funny, and thankfully short.
I dropped her back off at her parents and headed home for the night. Sunday I went back to my parents to see Pirates of the Caribbean with my brothers. It was good and entertaining, just way too long. My brother's fiance fell asleep during it, thats how long it was. But I thought it was OK. They definitely left it open for another one if they so choose to make one. I had dinner at my parents after the movies, then headed home for the evening.
Monday was more of the same. I picked Missy up at her house and we went to my parents for the afternoon and dinner. She was a little worried to go since she still doesn't look like herself, but after much convincing that no one would care, she agreed. We had a nice time and left there around 7ish so I could take her home. Once I got home I passed out from exhaustion. I put in a late night on Sunday and an early morning on Monday with some work related stuff, so I didn't get much sleep. Hence, I'm still tired this morning.
After work today I have my weekly guitar lesson and then I'll be heading to Missy's. She's going to the doctor this afternoon to get the splint taken off and then she'll be staying the night at her place for the first time since before the surgery. The rest of the week should be really easy for me. I'll be in training in NYC until Friday, so that will definitely be easier than working. Training is fun. I need to do it more often.
Alright, back to work. Have a great week everyone.
