Skinny
Title of a song by Filter off of "Title of Record," the one with Take a Picture on it. I'm listening to Take A Picture right now, so I saw Skinny as the next track, and said, damn, that fits!
So, I've been good all week and hit the gym at least once. I went to Bed Beth & Beyond yesterday to buy a bathroom scale, and so far it works pretty well. I tried to get on a doctor's office scale that the gym had in the locker room the other day, but I hate those things. I couldn't get it to balance. I have a rough idea of what the number read, and I'm using that as my starting point. I think I overestimated just what that number is, so when I post results tomorrow, its really not as monumental as I make it out to be. Basically, I'm looking to lose at least 75 pounds. 55 would get me back to my all time lowest from last year, with the final 20 for where I should be, and where I set my goal from last year. Then I get my guitar! (Who am I kidding! I've had it for a year and I use it! I need a new motivator!) I can do it. I know it. Missy and I are trying to do this together. She says she wants to lose about 10 pounds, and since she already has her wedding dress, she really just needs to maintain and she'll be fine.
The gym has been a very pleasurable experience so far. I wake up early and go, then head home to shower and eat a bowl of cereal before heading to work. Or I try to hit it once I get home from work. Today I'll be doing both as I have my free one on one session with a personal trainer. I went this morning and did 45 on the elliptical. I think if I just hit the gym consistently, like at least 5 times a week, and stick to eating like a reasonable person I'll be just fine. I don't expect the weight to fly off like it did last summer, but thats because I was doing Herbalife back then, and it probably wasn't the best for me. I'm so glad that I'm not plunking down $200 a month for that stuff anymore. I'm doing it au natural baby!
OK, so enough babbling about that stuff. There really isn't too much more to report sadly, so I'm going to sign off for now. Peace out people!
