Given To Fly

I would say, hey, look at me, blogging twice in one week, but technically its Sunday, so its a new week. If I manage to post again this week, then I can boast about it.
Today marks the end of a very relaxing weekend which is leading up to a very hectic week. Missy's brother's wedding is on Saturday, and her dad's birthday is on Wednesday, so everything this week will be leading up to the big day. I hope the week flies by... but that's just me.
I had a very relaxing Saturday. The usual guitar lesson, then a haircut, then back home to unload some DVD's I brought from my parents. Then I went over to Brett's to hang out. His wife was at her soon to be sister in laws bachelorette, just as Missy was at her soon to be sis-in-laws as well. So we were both free, so we hung out. I saw his dog, which I hadn't seen since it was a puppy and damn the thing got huge! He has a German Shepherd named Jake, and the last time I saw it was in December when it was still sort of a puppy. Now, the thing is a monster. He's huge. Like 90 pounds huge. But he's gentle as can be. He spent most of the evening panting like crazy and chasing his tail around. It was really cute. After awhile Brett and I went out for some Mexican food, and then I went home and passed out.
Missy didn't get home until almost 4 AM, and then had to wake up at 6:30 to go to a post-graduate class. I felt really bad for her, having an exhausting night out and then having to wake up early, on two hours of sleep, and drive to class and make a presentation. But, she's home now and passed out upstairs. Me, I'm just catching up on the DVR before the Ranger game at 2 PM. They're up 3 games to 2 on the Caps, and can close out the series with a win at the Garden tonight... so Let's Go Rangers!!!
